$335 later…

I just submitted my third application for grad school a few minutes ago. A total of $335 I have spent on applications (*cough* straight up robbery *cough*) and now I’m trying to decide between paying my electricity bill or new tires first. I can’t really live without the internet and the heater in this cold weather but then again I prefer not to have my tire blow out and my car crash while I’m on my way to an important destination…..Hmm, decisions decisions…..

First grad application submitted!

And it feels so good (minus paying the fucking $135 fee - UGH). Only 5 more to go until I’ll be in a temporary stress free heaven!!

Happy day :)

Today has been so wonderful, mostly academic wise. I took an exam and walked out feeling confident as ever. Then I found out earlier today I got a 100 on a different exam I took Friday and then in another class I found out I got the highest grade on the test out of everyone. I gave all my recommenders my letter of recommendation portfolios for graduate school and one my professors (whom I did research with) was just so delighted to write recommendations for me. It’s been raining and chilly outside which is my favorite kind of weather. I made yummy curry and snuggled in bed for a bit.  I got off of work early and still got paid for that hour.  I had a nice dinner with my mom too and she was sweet and bought me some groceries :) Today has just been a good day!

Maaaaan I’m exhausted. Applying for graduate schools is no joke. At least it will all be worth it in the end…. Right? Right???

Almost done with my personal statement tho, aw yeah ^.^

It’s the night before the GREs…

I’m over it already and I haven’t even taken it yet!!

GRE prepping…

You can shoot me now. On the bright side, I am at least learning interesting words that I know would be useful. I got excited for a bit because I finally recognized one of the words which was the word “anomaly”.

anomaly -

adjective

irregularity; abnormality; deviation from the norm; something difficult to classify

My own sentence: The child had a developmental anomaly present at birth which left her with an unfortunate birth defect.

Welp, see ya. Back to the books y’all.

Grad school…

Soooo! It’s about to be my senior year and I already have to start thinking about graduate school.  I’ve been thinking about it for awhile now but now I need to select my top 10 and exactly what I plan on studying for.  I would love to go to graduate school in another country.  Canada would be my best bet since I’ve already studied there. But now I’m thinking Australia or England (of course somewhere where they speak English).  Getting my PhD is out and getting a Master’s instead is in.  I am currently interested in obtaining it in I/O Psych, but I won’t know if I’m 100% sure til the end of my Fall semester this year (I’m taking a class on it).  It’s insane how fast time has gone by…

So far my plan is to attend a GRE class at least once.  I also have to look into schools that offer stipends, fellowships, etc. Then, begging my parents for a little donation to the application fees I will have to be paying for since I plan on applying to a bunch of schools. Life is all about options ain’t it? ;)

In the end, it may get a little bit stressful but shieeeet I’m not going to lie…I’m excited!
